America (Circa 1963): My Earliest Memory is November 22, 1963. Of course the date is well known now...

At the time, I was a bit over three years old. I lived in a small neighborhood of a small town. What I didn't understand was why all the adults were crying. They were walking around outside, where the kids usually played, but no kids were around. Just a bunch of adults, talking quietly and crying.

I don't have that many other memories of my life before the age of about eight. This is the only one left from before I went off to school.

Editor's Note: The assassination of John F. Kennedy (JFK), the thirty-fifth President of the United States, took place on Friday, November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, at 12:30 p.m. Central Standard Time.
